Have you guys seen the 2002 version of “The Time Machine”? All in all not a great cinematic acheivement, but notable for a very cool implementation of a virtual tour guide. Orlando Jones plays a computerized New York Public Library librarian, possessing all human knowledge. This comes in handy when the main character is trying to find out when and where he has gone in his time machine.
