Universities and “the problem”
Been talking to friends about ISIS related aspects of their campuses (here over winter break). A couple of interesting tidbits:
Penn State has a portal like myStanford which nobody uses. Northwestern has a portal like myStanford which apparently, upwards of 80% of students use avidly (many, setting it as their homepage). This calls for more research into portal adoption at colleges, which will lead to insight as to how we can get students to become friendly with our project when the time comes. Northwestern also delivers their cable tv over the network. very interesting… and also in the merc
We’ve also been talking to Upenn about their calendar along with Princeton about their new student center, and interior video displays. We can learn a lot from these folks.
