Yahoo has hooked up a screen in Times Square that anyone can play a game on by dialing an 800-number on their phone.
You end up with lots of people, both playing and just watching, standing in the middle of Times Square fixated on your billboard. Pretty cool…

I was down in SF Friday at 4 Embarcadero Center and found these screens in the elevators… They were split half-and-half with ads on the left, and information on the right, including weather, news, and events. Cool!

C-Nario is an interesting Israeli company making a splash in the digital signage space.

Fortune magazine is reporting that Walmart’s TV screens are proving more effective than traditional TV for advertisers. The benefits include location right next to the products advertised; a captive audience Nielsen estimates views for five minutes each; and targeting the tech-aware young generation.
