Final Groups Layout?
Can everyone please click on this link to test the groups@stanford layout, and comment if something funny happens? Thanks. I have to ask since my Apple Safari browser doesn’t work anymore and there are plenty of other browsers that might be out there too.
Final GroupsATStanford prototype?
Updated Groups Prototype Online
Sorry to miss the meeting tonight, I was hacking away to make the groupsATstanford template as compatible as possible. You can find it here:

Except for a 2-pixel nudge of the menu bar to the right in IE that is driving me crazy (any ideas?). this design is stable across all major browsers I […]
thefacebook.com
thefacebook.com has now been expanded to include Stanford and Columbia. the Harvard guy somehow got all the information about dorms and classes and integrated it into his system. i’m a little worried about that, because if people start signing up for his system, then we may have a little trouble in differentiating ourselves and stealing […]
Stanford Academic Blogging

Feel free to […]

Web GUI
TikiWiki
EZ Publish - includes ability to make photo galleries, etc.
eNvolution
Drupal
MT Tags for Groups
Just a note to myself: all MT Tags for the groups site.
Photo Albums and more…
Does anybody know of any really cool, stable, open-source photo album packages for a website? I’m working on prototyping the Groups@Stanford site, and was looking for that piece. Do you have any other suggestions for open-source or relatively cheap technologies to use in other parts of the site?

Stanford Volunteer Clearinghouse
The Stanford Alumni Association has a pretty cool program set up called the Stanford Volunteer Clearinghouse. The site claims:
SVC is an online database that encourages alumni to match their interests with the needs of the University. Our goal is to reconnect and engage alums in meaningful volunteer opportunities related to Stanford.
I think groups […]
