Another evolution of customization is demonstrated in Apple’s Celebrity Playlists. Something about having the music chosen by an artist you respect or enjoy makes it more attractive to purchase than the music on its own.

Celebrity iCal files, anyone? Could they be the killer app for a rich database of events? I picture a John Hennessy-chosen schedule of events available for download…though a Scott Cannon-chosen schedule might be even broader…
