Hey everyone,

I’ve been posting here lately, please let me know if this is the correct place to blog thoughts, or is there elsewhere that’s THE place to blog.

Apologies for not being able to attend tonight’s meeting about the Blender at the Space. Please do not take my poor meeting attendance as a sign of not being committed.

I saw Scott’s list emailed to us about the Blender project and our involvements in each category, I’m interested in working with Tony in the consulting end, with the mentoring end, and the marketing with Lauren and Aaron.

Consulting: I think its important that we get the consulting end for each project a firm foundation. Before we think about perhaps handing it off to another group. I think we should get a feel for how much needs to be done and then we can bring on another group and provide realistic expectations.
I realize this may already have been said at a meeting, but I think we should have a look at the applications and then we can probably have a good idea of what our duties might be.

Marketing: Marketing will be a fun task, definitely having some type of Innovator’s Fair would be great, distributing pamphlets and hosting a speaker series for the campus which could double up as a speaker for our Blender groups AND as a campus marketing plan to display our groups.

Most of this has probably been said during the meetings. I think it’d be most effective if we met in smaller committees to deal with one or two of the sections in smaller groups. So if any of the groups are meeting feel free to let me know, Thanks!
