While working on a video project at work, I found some limitations to Apple’s Quicktime technology. As explained in the last paragraph on their page:
When the movie plays over the web, QuickTime loads the chapter list immediately via HTTP. It attempts to get the stream from the server only when the movie is played or the viewer selects an entry point using the chapter list. Because of the nature of spacetime, chapter lists do not work with live streaming movies.
So if anyone was working on an eventsATstanford screen to see the future, better stick with your flux capacitors instead of Quicktime…or find out how Ben Affleck did it (and the trailer itself is delivered via Quicktime…whoa…)
