Meeting Tips
File this under “random” and mark me as guilty on most of them, but I found these posts on how to run meetings more effectively very interesting. Our meetings currently run quite well but it would be fun to try these suggestions:
2. Make everyone talk on the phone, even if you are in adjacent offices.
3. Give everyone a chess clock to limit the number of minutes they are allowed to speak for.
4. Lock the door when the meeting starts on time and do not allow latecomers to enter.
5. Perhaps a bunch of buzzers, which monitor your perspiration and heartbeat, read your facial expressions and head motions, go off when somebody says something confusing.
6. A little computer continually computes the total running-cost of the
meeting, in terms of (sum salaries) meeting-duration.
