This project does for still images what i think we can do with video. the analogy goes like this: if you have media that you want to share and are close to a presentation medium you’d like to use, just upload your media to the medium.

possible interaction pattern: bring your cd or laptop to a screen. pop the cd in the local computer’s drive or open up the “drop box” on the wireless network created in the area of the screen by the local computer. put the file in the right folder, and you are in the system! you could even watch it once to preview your video on the display (adding to the usefullness of the screen–you can use it to present your own media, albeit for a limited time).
