as they tend to do, the slashdot crowd has started a delightfully irreverent conversation about amazon dot com’s latest patent on personalization. the comments are found on this page–my favorite is the guy to whom amazon said “people who wear clothes also like . . .” looks like the onus is upon us to make personalization worthwhile, since amazon is now editorializing their recommendations as well . . . check out what you’re recommended when buying a book on computer programming!
